After extensive product research and testing, we have come up with the most exciting dome tent innovation seen in recent years. Our research has provided a solution to the biggest issue with dome tents - How to make the frame stronger in winds.
The materials we use in the dome tents are certainly waterproof enough, they breathe well, and the tent materials are strong enough. However the problem of poles breaking in windy conditions was the one issue that remained. We needed to find a way to overcome this without making the tent too heavy or difficult to set up, not too bulky, and most importantly, not too expensive.

"I purchased the Escape Duo from you on pre-order and it arrived a few weeks before I was due to go away with my daughters aged 2 and 5. I did a dry run of setting it up the weekend before we left and was pleased to see that it was as easy to construct as you had said and I handled both construction and pack-up on my own, with a fellow camper providing a bit of stability on one end of the cross-poles as I clipped them in during set-up – a matter of a couple of minutes, during which he commented on the quality of the materials of my tent. He was also surprised at how quickly it went up.
We stayed on North Stradbroke Island for just shy of a week. During that time, we experienced winds in excess of 30kph and gusting much higher. In addition to the wind, we also had heavy, lashing downpours for two nights and light rain for two others. With the fly tied down, we barely even noticed the wind and rain. I wanted to have the canopy also for this trip (and a couple of chairs), but couldn’t afford it at the time. However I will definitely be purchasing one to replace our tarp before our next trip in December and I will eventually add to our kit from your range things like a camp kitchen and other furniture.
I did a serious lot of research before I bought this tent, even looking at tents from the UK and the US/Canada. It would have been easy to go down to a chain store and buy a cheap dome tent, but I wanted something that would be easy to set up on my own and would stay put in terrible weather, as the last thing I want to do is put my kids off camping. It was well-worth the extra money (coming from a single mum who saved for a long time for this) as my girls had a brilliant time and found the crazy weather exciting because we were safe and dry.
I can’t thank you enough for the time you gave me on the phone and I will happily recommend your products to anyone I know who is looking for a quality tent."

The weather was a real mixed bag including 30C heat, heavy rain, and on Saturday persistent 50 kph winds with severe gusts.
